Graduate TA Teaching Award

Teaching With Sakai Innovation Award

Although there are many ways in which technology, and in particular Sakai, can make the teaching process more efficient or productive, innovative technology applications truly transform the educational experience. The intent of this award is to highlight examples of educational applications of Sakai which fall into this innovative or transformative category.

BC Innovation Awards in Educational Technology

The Innovation Awards honour and recognize individuals from BC public post-secondary institutions who test, implement, and use educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning, and/or who provide greater service and support to students, faculty, staff, or administrators.

ACCC Teaching Excellence Award

This Award honours an individual faculty member who has exhibited consistent excellence in teaching and has had a significant impact on the personal and academic growth of students.  The nominee must be a current faculty member who exhibits both excellence and innovation.

Nominations are due in November.

Winner is announced in May.

Rotary Club of Halifax Distinguished Teaching Service Award

SHINE Awards

The Instructional Excellence Award celebrates instructors who demonstrate excellence in teaching and promote life-long learning.

All current NAIT instructors are eligible; however, an instructor is not eligible to win the award in two consecutive years.

George Wicken Award for Excellence in Teaching

Students submit nominations to our Centre for Learning and Teaching and a Committee of faculty determine criteria and award.

Part-Time Faculty Award

This award is presented annually to an Algonquin College Part-Time Faculty in recognition of teaching excellence.

Candidates must be part-time employees of the College who have taught for at least two consecutive semesters prior to the nomination.

Nominations are due in April.

The Impact Award is awarded to a faculty member or team within the Ontario College system whose leadership in the use of educational technology has had a significant impact on learners, staff, program and/or college.

ETC-The Innovative Teaching with Technology Award

The Innovative Teaching with Techology award is awarded to a faculty member or team within the Ontario College system who has demonstrated innovative use of technology when implementing a specific learning activity with defined learning objectives.

ETC-The First Experience with Technology Award

The ETC Award is awarded to a faculty member within the Ontario College system who within the past 18 months has had his/her first experience using educational technology in a creative/innovative way, (either in the classroom or on-line) to engage learners in active learning or problem solving.

 

Leadership in Faculty Teaching (LIFT) Award

The LIFT award was created to recognize and encourage teaching excellence at Ontario's colleges and universities.

This award has been given out to faculty who influence, motivate and inspire students and demonstrate leadership in teaching methods for the diverse student body in Ontario.

Outstanding Educator Award from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT)

The award is granted to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the training and education of engineering/applied science technicians and technologists.

It recognizes a sustained record of excellence over many years, and not for one specific year or singular accomplishment.

Abros Award

CUFA BC Distinguished Academics Awards

Canada Council for the Arts - Endowments and Prizes

The Endowments and Prizes Section of the Canada Council for the Arts administers over 70 annual prizes, fellowships and awards to Canadian artists and scholars for their contributions to the arts, humanities and sciences in Canada. President's Award for Public Education through Media

Killam Teaching Prizes

The prizes are awarded annually, from the Killam Endowment Fund, to faculty nominated by students, colleagues, and alumni in recognition of excellence in teaching.

Killam Research Prizes

The Killam Prizes are awarded annually to distinguished Canadian scholars doing research in any of the following fields: health sciences, natural sciences, engineering, social sciences and humanities. Normally, one prize is awarded each year in each of the five fields.

Killam Faculty Research Fellowships

Jacob Biely Faculty Research Prize

Faculty Citation Community Service Award

Charles A. McDowell Award for Excellence in Research

The award will be made to an outstanding young member of the faculty of UBC who has demonstrated excellence in pure or applied scientific research. not more than 12 greater than the year they received the PhD degree.

Wolf Prizes

The Wolf Foundation

The Wolf Foundation began its activities in 1976, with an initial endowment fund of $10 million donated by the Wolf family. Annual income from investments is used for prizes, scholarships and Foundation operating expenses. The awards are intended "to promote science and art for the benefit of mankind."
